It is becoming abundantly clear that FC Barcelona is willing to play the waiting game if necessary. While the club may not have all the guarantees they need right now to pursue their most attractive operations, they believe it is only a matter of time before they do. Unfortunately, time does not wait for any man, and neither does it wait for Barcelona.

The Catalan club are doing what they believe is the most sustainable way to go about this ongoing summer window. Despite their best efforts, it is also clear to see that there are other clubs with the resources that Barcelona does not possess and they will not be stopping in their own shopping spree within the market waiting for Barça to catch up.

Such is the unfortunate timing that there is now a possibility that one of the key Barcelona targets in the market may now be snatched up by another suitor. According to Mundo Deportivo, who have highlighted that the news came from Fabrizio Romano, French side Paris Saint-Germain has now joined the fight to sign Joshua Kimmich.

The Ligue 1 side seem to really like the player and this has been confirmed by several reports. With Bayern Munich now willing to sell their German star for the right offer in order to avoid letting him go for free next summer, PSG are presenting themselves as a very viable buyer.

Unfortunately for Barcelona, this spells nothing but trouble on all ends. The German star, despite having some internal conflicts with Bayern in recent times, remains a key target for Barcelona and the only thing currently coming in the way of finalizing such an operation is the financial aspect of things.

For PSG, that side of things practically does not exist. MD reports that the Parisian side will be able to outdo FC Barcelona in any financial offer they make, whether it be the one they offer to Bayern or the personal terms that are offered to the 29-year-old German star currently playing in the European Championship.
