Paris Saint-Germain are facing uncertainty regarding their goalkeeping situation, with questions surrounding Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future. If the club chooses to part ways with the 25-year-old, they may need to explore the transfer market for a replacement.

Despite being under contract until 2026, Donnarumma’s performances have been inconsistent, with errors casting a shadow over his time at the club. This could be testing PSG’s patience as they consider their long-term plans for the position.

A January move for a new goalkeeper seems unlikely, but next summer could see the Ligue 1 side searching for a more reliable presence in goal.

Under sporting advisor Luis Campos, PSG have looked toward Portugal to pursue talented players and it seems they might do that to bolster the goalkeeping position. PSG Inside Actus reported on Sunday that the capital club have five goalkeepers on their radar and one of them is Diogo Costa.

The report reveals that the young Portuguese goalkeeper is considered one of the best prospects in his position. His performances in Liga NOS and the UEFA Champions League have caught the attention of major European clubs.

Costa has caught the attention of several top European clubs. According to an October report from CaughtOffside, Bayern Munich is particularly keen on the Porto goalkeeper as they prioritize finding a replacement for Manuel Neuer.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is also believed to have been a long-time admirer of Costa’s performances.
