PSG join Liverpool in race to sign Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon

Paris Saint-Germain, in their search to replace the outgoing Kylian Mbappé (25), have added Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon (23) to their shortlist, according to The Guardian

Whilst Mbappé is still technically a PSG player, he won’t be for much longer. The France captain has signed a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid and he will be presented in July, upon the conclusion of the ongoing Euros.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23) had looked to be Les Parisiens’ priority on the left wing to replace Mbappé, however, Napoli have made their stance clear – the Georgia international is not for sale. As a result, the club are looking at alternative targets, including Newcastle’s Gordon.

Liverpool had been in talks to sign the England international, however, talks broke down earlier this week, as per The Guardian. Whilst the Merseyside club remain interested in signing Gordon, so are PSG, who have considerable financial means to bolster their squad this summer.
