PSG consider Everton’s Amadou Onana as replacement for Manchester United target Manuel Ugarte

With Manchester United showing concrete interest in Manuel Ugarte (23), Paris Saint-Germain could look to replace the Uruguayan with Everton midfielder Amadou Onana (22), according to a report from Foot Mercato

Ugarte could be on his way out of PSG, just one year after joining the club. The former Sporting midfielder had a strong start to life at the Parc des Princes, however, as his limitations in possession became clear, he played a more backseat role in Luis Enrique’s side as the season progressed.

He is now the subject of interest from Manchester United, with L’Équipe reporting that the Premier League club have lodged a bid to sign the midfielder that cost les Parisiens €60m just one year earlier. That bid has been rejected but the Red Devils are expected to return to the negotiating table.

Should Ugarte leave, PSG could look to replace him with Onana, who is currently flourishing with the Belgium national team in Germany. The Everton midfielder, valued between €50-60m, is also a target for Manchester United, although Ugarte has been made the priority at Old Trafford.
