Yahoo Sports Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Spotted in the Caribbean
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have jetted off to vacation in the Caribbean following their Archewell Foundation hosted its first in-person summit last week in New York City.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted in Canouan, a small island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, according to photos obtained by the Daily Mail. In the snaps, Prince Harry and Meghan stroll hand-in-hand in Glossy Bay Marina.
Both embraced into casual vacation style: Harry is pictured in flip-flops, a t-shirt and shorts, and a baseball cap, while Meghan is in a what appears to be a Chloé maxi dress, a panama hat, and sandals. It's unclear whether or not their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, joined them on their Caribbean getaway.
Recently, following the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany, Harry and Meghan reportedly stopped in Portugal for a short vacation, and likely to visit Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie. Starting last year, Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, began splitting their time between London and Portugal for Brooksbank's new job. In a new family photo Eugenie shared to celebrate their wedding anniversary, the family of four smiles on the beach.
Canouan, as Town & Country wrote in our guide to the best honeymoon destinations, is a "still somewhat undiscovered part of the Caribbean" that "is an unspoiled tropical island offering excellent golf, tennis, deep sea fishing, and sailing." There are numerous luxury properties on the island, including the Mandarin Oriental Canouan and Soho Beach House Canouan.
There's history for Harry and Meghan at Soho House; the two had their first date at the members-only club in London. In Harry & Meghan, their Netflix documentary, they recounted that first meeting. "We met at 76 Dean Street. You were late!" Meghan said, looking to Harry. "And I couldn’t understand why he would be late." Harry recalls being a "hot, sweaty, red ball of mess" when he showed up late.
