PRIMAVERA WON THE DERBY

PRIMAVERA WON THE DERBY
PRIMAVERA WON THE DERBY

Here it is, the proof of a great start to the championship and also of the season for our Primavera. Milan won the Derby away at Inter. It ended 3-1, with goals by Duțu, Ibrahimović (on his birthday) and Bonomi from the penalty spot, in a match that was decided in the first half. A clear and well-deserved result for the concrete performance by the Rossoneri, capable of risking little, striking hard, resisting well. The second half was well-controlled after scoring in the early moments. A serious, mature test that gave important answers to Mister Guidi.

This brings the Primavera 1's number of victories to four, a near-perfect run in five games played excluding the negative interlude in Genoa. Taking into consideration the brilliant European debut despite the draw with Liverpool, our team really started in the best of ways. Three golden points that allow them to pull away from the Nerazzurri (+5), climb to second place in the standings at 12 points and shorten the distance to the top, currently occupied by Roma (-1). The next match will be against Cesena, on Friday 27 September at 16:30 CEST at the PUMA House of Football. Well done boys!

MATCH REPORT
First chances: at 9' Paloschi swooped wide from a corner; at 12' De Pieri shot just high. In the 15th minute, Longoni produced a miracle to fend off Spinaccè; Motta scores not long after, but the goal is disallowed for offside. From fright to joy, in the 18th minute Milan took the lead: Duțu hit a header from a corner and beat Calligaris. We pushed on and in the 29th minute came the second one: Bakoune's cross, Aidoo's mistake and Ibrahimović's left-footed curveball left the goalkeeper no chance. Close to the break, Inter made up for the deficit as De Pieri served Mosconi who flatly beat Longoni. In the midst of the recovery we returned to double the lead: Magni is floored by Aidoo and got the penalty, and from the penalty spot Bonomi scored despite Calligaris getting his hands on it.

Second half proceeded with caution and attention. After a crackling first half the match slowed down and emotions were cooled. Apart from an aerial deflection by Topalović in the 48th minute, the Nerazzurri did not make themselves dangerous until the hour mark, when Lavelli had a shot at goal. Substitutions, including  Colzani and Longoni between the posts, took place. Time passed and in the 69th minute Scotti tried a spectacular flying kick, which was however quite wide. The Diavolo remained solid, never getting in trouble, whilst managing and also attacking: in the 79th minute Turco engaged Calligaris, and in the 85th minute Bakoune shot from distance. In the final minutes there was a missed chance for Topalović. Final whistle.
