Leeds United Women begin their 2025 fixtures as they welcome Stockport County Ladies to the Bannister Prentice Stadium on Sunday, with action in Garforth getting underway at 2pm.

The Whites finished the last calendar year in fine form, winning seven out of their final eight league matches of 2024, to cement themselves well amongst the contenders for promotion with just 10 fixtures remaining.

The record of eight wins and one draw from the opening 12 encounters leaves Simon Wood’s side third, just one point adrift of table-topping Chorley and with a game in hand on the Lancashire outfit.

That one draw so far did come against Sunday’s opposition, as County cruelly equalised at the death to deny United all three points back in September.

After going behind, goals from Kath Smith ad Amy Woodruff had put Leeds on track for a much-deserved victory, only for County substitute Jess Brady to bundle home in the final moments to salvage a point for the hosts.

Since then, Steve O’Hara’s side have struggled to find consistency and sit eighth in the FA WNL Division One North table, just one point above the relegation zone.
