Yahoo Sports Premier League release ball for 2024-25 season with eye-watering price tag
Nike and the Premier League have unveiled the football that will be used during the 2024-25 season as the collaboration between the American manufacturer and England’s top flight extends for a further season.
The latest ball will be the 25th football Nike have produced for the Premier League and is described as being ‘inspired by the most iconic graphic elements from previous iterations’.
The ‘Nike Flight’ will feature in the Premier League for the first time on Friday 16th August, when Manchester United take on Fulham at Old Trafford in the opening fixture of the 2024-25 campaign.
“This is a ball built to help you succeed on the pitch. Featuring four fused panels, it helps create a larger sweet spot for more powerful strikes,” the description of the match ball from Nike reads.
“It also has moulded grooves to help reduce drag and a grippy texture for better control in any weather.”
However, any fans wanting to purchase their own version of the Nike Flight will have to stump up the cash to do so. The football is retailing for an eye-watering £129.99 on Nike’s official website.
