Pre-Season: 2025 Draft Eligible Kilfoil Shines in 5-2 Win

Liam Kilfoil's four point effort helps Mooseheads topple Cape Breton

Halifax's Liam Kilfoil was already turning some heads last season, playing as an energy forward where he produced 20 points over 61 games.

Recently, we've seen another side of Kilfoil as he notched 3 goals in 4 playoff games last season and he potted three points at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup this August.

Now, it would appear that his momentum has carried into the pre-season, with a four point (2+2) performance yesterday afternoon, making him our player of the night.

Based on his playoffs, tournament play and now the pre-season, Kilfoil may have added an offensive gear to his game -- which would make him only more of a tantilizing prospect for NHL teams.

Additionally, fellow 2025 NHL draft eligible Shawn Carrier -- who was just acquired from Moncton this off-season -- had a three point (2+1) night alongside Kilfoil.

  • Halifax (5) - Cape Breton (2)

  • Charlottetown (0) - Saint John (6)
