Thursday’s Power Rankings are back after another week of action across European football’s top leagues.

Here are the 10 sides in our updated Power Rankings table.

📈 Power Rankings: Leaders Barcelona earn biggest win yet

10. Inter Milan (🆕)

Inter Milan return to our Power Rankings table after a comfortable 3-0 win at Empoli on Wednesday kept the champions in touch with Serie A leaders Napoli.

At the weekend, Simeone Inzaghi’s side scored four times against a Juventus outfit that had conceded just once all season previously. The problem, however, was the usually watertight Nerazzurri also shipped four goals in a sensational San Siro draw.

The win over Empoli, which saw Davide Frattesi score twice, ensured normal service was resumed in midweek.

9. Paris Saint-Germain (🆕)

Paris Saint-Germain also re-enter our table after thrashing Marseille in
Le Classique.

French football’s biggest fixture proved to be a mismatch as PSG raced into a 3-0 lead by half-time, against a Marseille side who had Amine Harit sent off after 20 minutes. The Parisians boasted 75% of the possession and restricted the home side to just a single shot on target.

8. PSV Eindhoven (👍 Last week: 9)

PSV’s perfect record in the Eredivisie continued as the Dutch champions humiliated struggling PEC Zwolle. Peter Bosz’s side won 6-0 with USA international Ricardo Pepi scoring a brace at The Philips Stadion.

PSV have won all 10 games this season and are averaging 3.5 goals scored per Eredivisie fixture.

7. Bayern Munich (No change)

After being embarrassed in the Champions League at Barcelona, Bayern Munich issued a response with two big wins on the road over the last week.

A 5-0 win at Vfl Bochum maintained Bayern’s place at the top of the Bundesliga table at the weekend before Vincent Kompany’s side eased past Mainz in the DFB-Pokal. Jamal Musiala scored the first hat-trick of his career as cup progress was secured with a 4-0 victory.

6. Arsenal (No change)

Arsenal navigated the absences of William Saliba, Riccardo Calafiori and Martin Odegaard to draw 2-2 with title rivals Liverpool in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s men will be disappointed to have twice let the lead slip in North London, though combatted key absences impressively at the Emirates.

In midweek, the Gunners booked a Carabao Cup quarter-final with Crystal Palace after a 3-0 win at Preston. Ethan Nwaneri’s stock continued to rise as the 17-year-old scored his third goal in the competition this season.

5. Sporting Lisbon (No change)

Change is on the horizon for Sporting Lisbon with Ruben Amorim set to be named as Manchester United’s new manager.

Amorim’s exit – which will come during November’s international break – could unstable a ship that has been sailing without trouble this season. Sporting have nine wins from nine in the Primeira Liga this season, after a 3-0 success at Famalicão at the weekend.

4. Manchester City (👎 Last week: 3)

Manchester City moved top of the Premier League table last weekend, as Erling Haaland’s goal secured the points against Southampton at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola’s side have taken to the top despite not hitting top gear, perhaps an ominous sign for their title rivals. However, the absences of Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri are impacting the Citizens, who exited the Carabao Cup at Spurs on Wednesday night.

3. Napoli (👍 Last week: 8)

Napoli have found their groove under Antonio Conte to open up a three-point lead at the top of Serie A.

Conte’s side beat AC Milan 2-0 away from home to secure the most impressive result of his tenure so far, as goals from Romelu Lukaku and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sealed success at the San Siro.

After a dreadful defence of the title last season, Gli Azzurri have set their sights on another Scudetto.

2. Liverpool (No change)

Liverpool keep on earning results under Arne Slot.

The Reds battled back to earn a point at Arsenal last Sunday, as goals from Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah ensured a share of the spoils headed back to Merseyside.

It’s just one defeat in 14 games since Slot’s appointment in the summer after Liverpool booked their place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday. Cody Gakpo scored two brilliant goals in the 3-2 success at Brighton.

1. Barcelona (No change)

Are Hansi Flick’s Barcelona side the real deal? The early evidence suggests so.

Fresh from hammering Sevilla and Bayern Munich, the in-form Catalans faced their biggest challenge yet in the form of El Clásico last weekend. A stunning second-half performance saw Barcelona run riot to claim a 4-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu, a result that has sent shockwaves through Spanish football.

Six points clear at the top of La Liga and with 37 goals scored in 11 games, it has been a dream start for Flick as he looks to take Barcelona back to the top of European football.
