Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Dominic Solanke is in line to make his Tottenham debut in their Premier League opener against Leicester City.

The 26-year-old's arrival from Bournemouth was confirmed earlier on Saturday, with Spurs shelling out a club record £65m for his services. Later that day, he was introduced to the crowd against Bayern Munich.

After the game, Postecoglou was quizzed on his latest addition.

"He was one I was very keen to get in. It took a while to get over the line. I think he'll be a great fit for us, where he's at in his career. We identified him because he's got the attributes we're looking for," he explained.

"I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be in a position to [start against Leicester]. He's done most of pre-season."

He also teased Tottenham fans about the remainder of the transfer window.

“There will be more movements on the market, there will still be some activity”.

Spurs fans will be hoping that Solanke can hit the ground running against the Foxes.
