Portsmouth forward Daisy McLachlan has signed professional terms with the club ahead of the new season.

Pompey announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

McLachlan is in her second spell with Portsmouth after joining the Hampshire club from FA Women’s National League Division One South East champions AFC Wimbledon midway through last season. The player made a positive contribution as Portsmouth went on to seal the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division title along with promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship. McLachlan netted two goals in 13 appearances for Jay Sadler’s side as the club confirmed their status as third tier champions.

There is undoubtedly more to come from McLachlan in her second spell at Portsmouth and the club have opted to agree professional terms with the player for the upcoming season.

McLachlan is the 14th member of the 2023/2024 squad to have agreed professional terms with Portsmouth this summer. She joins teammates Hannah Haughton, Riva Casley, Georgie Freeland, Jazz Younger, Sophie Quirk, Emily Pitman, Annie Rolf, Ella Humphrey, Izzy Collins, Scarlett Williams, Nicole Barrett, Emma Jones and Ava Rowbotham in going full-time with the club ahead of the 2024/2025 Barclays Women’s Championship campaign.
