Yesterday marked a special day for Roma boss Daniele De Rossi.

In fact, De Rossi finally had the opportunity to meet his idol, Roy Keane, in a restaurant in Rome.

The meeting took place at the Core de Roma, in via Vetulonia, a historic street linked to Francesco Totti, where the Irish football legend was filming a TV series.

Roy Keane was in Rome together with Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright and Gary Neville to film some scenes for the television series The Overlap, produced by Sky UK.

The series involves world-famous former footballers on a journey through their sporting experiences, and Rome was one of the stops chosen for filming.
