A photo some time in the making has on Friday come to the fore online.

This comes in the form of Ibrahim Diarra at long last taking to the training pitch in the colours of Barcelona.

Youngster Diarra, for his part, was finally announced as Barcelona’s latest signing earlier this week.

After a lengthy saga spanning most of the year, during which the gifted youngster spent a trial period in Catalunya’s capital before returning to his home country of Mali, the Blaugrana confirmed Diarra’s arrival on a contract through the summer of 2028.

An explosive winger boasting a host of stellar attributes, expectations are high when it comes to the 18-year-old’s prospects in Spain moving forward.

All of a Barcelona persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be interested to hear of Diarra, on Friday, taking to the training pitch in Blaugrana colours for the very first time.

As showcased in the photo below, the Malian took part in some basic drills with Albert Sánchez’s Barça Atlètic this afternoon.

The hope is that Diarra will be given the green light to make his debut with Barcelona’s reserve outfit next month.
