Photo: Barcelona fans convinced they were victims of a huge VAR mistake vs Sociedad

An image doing the rounds on social media this evening has sparked widespread fury amongst those of a Barcelona persuasion.

This comes amid claims that a major mistake took place in the VAR room, costing the Blaugrana an opening goal in the club’s latest outing.

Hansi Flick’s troops are currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad.

With a little over ten minutes on the clock, Barcelona thought that they had taken the lead, after top scorer Robert Lewandowski slotted home.

After being sent to the VAR room, however, the goal was subsequently ruled out.

And, as alluded to above, this decision has since sparked widespread fury across the fanbase of the visitors to Anoeta.

This comes amid claims that those in charge of VAR mistook Nayef Aguerd’s boot for that of Robert Lewandowski, resulting in an incorrect offside call being made.
