Cricket-England appoint Moores as head coach

April 19 (Reuters) - Peter Moores has been appointed as the head coach of the England team, the country's cricket board said on Saturday. The 51-year-old succeeded Andy Flower, who stepped down after five years in charge following the 5-0 Ashes defeat in Australia in January, for his second stint in the position.
