Pep Guardiola spotted at famous landmark as part of Scandinavian holiday
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been pictured visiting Norway during the current September international break.
The 53-year-old has been spotted in the Norwegian capital Oslo as part of a visit to the Scandinavian country during the current September international break, with those not involved in either UEFA Nations League or FIFA World Cup qualifiers afforded a break.
Manchester City have 15 players involved in a maximum of 16 matches during the September internationals, with Rico Lewis, Jack Grealish and John Stones all selected by interim England manager Lee Carsley for games against Ireland and Finland.
Phil Foden has been forced to withdraw from the Three Lions due to continued illness, meanwhile Manchester City captain Kyle Walker wasn’t selected for the two Nations League matches.
Ilkay Gundogan, who re-signed for Manchester City from FC Barcelona, will be afforded a short break during the international period, with the midfielder having retired from the German national team following the European Championship this summer.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been known to travel when afforded a break from the hectic football schedule, notably spending time during the past summer visiting the United States.
The Catalonian has been spotted travelling again this month, visiting Norway, according to local and national outlets.
The 53-year-old is currently spending time in Norway according to the Daily Mail, with Guardiola having even been spotted by a lifelong supporter at the famous Deichman library in Oslo.
Norwegian outlet VG report that Guardiola’s visit to the landmark was unplanned, with the manager also reportedly planning to spend time fishing in Lofoten as part of his Scandinavian holiday.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is also in Norway as part of preparations for matches against Kazakhstan and Austria in the UEFA Nations League.
The 24-year-old will be looking to take his impressive goalscoring form into the two fixtures, having scored seven goals in three Premier League games for the Blues.
