Penn State football announces kickoff time for first game against UCLA in nearly 56 years
Penn State football’s first game against UCLA in more than five decades is scheduled to kick off at noon inside Beaver Stadium, the Big Ten announced Monday.
The Oct. 5 game against the Nittany Lions’ new conference foe is set to be broadcast on Fox. It’s slated to be a Stripe Out.
UCLA is 1-2 this season with a win over Hawaii and losses to Indiana and LSU. The Bruins are scheduled to play No. 8 Oregon before coming to play No. 9 Penn State.
The Bruins lead the all-time series against the Nittany Lions, 4-2. The upcoming game would be the first time the two played since the 1968 season, when Penn State won 21-6.
It’s the only home game for the Nittany Lions in October. They won’t return to Beaver Stadium until Nov. 2 to play Ohio State.
