Pellegrini on the eve of Elfsborg-Roma: “I will never stop fighting for Roma.”

Roma skipper Lorenzo Pellegrini attended a pre-match press conference in Sweden tonight.

The Giallorossi midfielder spoke to the media on the eve of the match with Elfsborg.

“It’s always the pitch that decides, if you’re not performing well the pitch will get you down,” said the player who’s been at the center of much criticism from fans and media alike.

“It’s normal to be judged if someone has a difficult time, but then it’s the pitch and feeling part of the group that makes you get back up.”

“I’m not one for clowning around, I’m one who is used to telling the truth. I have a lot of respect for Daniele and for what him and his staff were giving us, now we move on because Roma is the most important thing.”

“We were lucky to come across a man like Juric who immediately understood our sadness and the difficult moment we were in and was able to get us back on track.”

“Wearing the armband is a huge honor. It’s not an everyday thing. I care for this group of players. I will never get tired of wearing the armband and fighting for the good of Roma.”

“Fans’ booing me? It is important to play well and change the minds of those who are booing you. This situation will only change with good performances and positive results.”

“Pisilli is a golden boy and incredibly humble. In my opinion he is a strong and modern player. His growth depends on him, he is well liked by the group. He reminds me of something I experienced as a player his age.”
