Pau Cubarsí earns Spain call-up after injuries

Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí will join the Spanish national team for their Nations League double header.

Cubarsí has been a revelation this season with the Blaugrana, playing 13 times so far for Hansi Flick's Liga leaders.

And now the teenager could get his chance with La Roja, having earned a late call-up following an injury to Pau Lopez.

The Aston Villa centre-back withdrew on Wednesday after he pulled up in training.

Spain travel to Denmark on Friday before hosting Switzerland next week.
