Patrick Mahomes to have something else named for him following latest Texas Tech gift
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ name is about to be a prevalent part of the Texas Tech football facility.
On Thursday, Texas Tech football announced Patrick and wife Brittany had made a $5 million donation to go toward the team’s south end zone and football center project.
As a result, the walk-through area of the future Womble Football Center will be named after Patrick Mahomes, who played for the Red Raiders from 2014-16.
His name appears elsewhere in the facility, too. Thanks to contributions, Mahomes is named on Texas Tech’s quarterback meeting room and the offensive coordinator’s office.
Mahomes has been a public supporter of the college and its athletic programs since then. Earlier this offseason, Mahomes’ personal Gladiator logo was added to the Red Raiders’ football field as part of a new 10-year deal between the school and Adidas.
