Patrick Mahomes ran around like a little kid after Chiefs blocked kick to win game
The game was lost. The unbeaten streak? Done. The Chiefs’ dominance of the Broncos at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium? It appeared to be over Sunday.
But the Chiefs pulled a rabbit out of their hat when Leo Chenal blocked a 36-yard field-goal attempt by Denver’s Wil Lutz on the final play of Sunday’s game.
That allowed the Chiefs to beat the Broncos 16-14. It was the Chiefs’ ninth-straight win over Denver in Kansas City.
Here is Chenal’s incredible effort to block the kick.

Mahomes had missed an open Travis Kelce in the end zone on the Chiefs’ final possession and they settled for a field goal. That might have been part of the reason why Mahomes was so happy.
The reaction, as one might expect, was much different on the other sideline. Here is how things looked among the Broncos players.
