Parolo analyses Milan’s season after ‘limping the most’ so far: “Don’t see this mastery”
AC Milan have gone consistently downhill this season, and when given opportunities to bounce back, they have regularly failed to do so, with Friday being the latest example.
There is a string of negative results linked to Milan’s many shortcomings this season, and they have come at both ends of the table. However, the most frustrating elements of the season are the results against ‘big’ teams.
On Friday, the Rossoneri looked devoid of anything, and questions have been asked of Paulo Fonseca’s management of the game, with the Diavolo looking content with the game level, despite Atalanta’s persistent attacks.
Today, Marco Parolo, the former midfielder, has spoken to DAZN to analyse Milan’s season so far and the reasons for their poor start to the season, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.
“It’s the team that limps the most, it’s the one that has had the most problems in the league. But it’s also the one that seems to me to be the shortest: Juve have players out, Milan don’t have players out.
“Fonseca came into the game against Atalanta and struggled to change them, he kept them all on the pitch. Pulisic gets injured and the game plan almost changes and they start to suffer Atalanta’s pace. He doesn’t have many alternatives. Fonseca tries, in many games he tries to put a different theme to develop but I don’t see this mastery of the game and the idea.”

“Market? In the middle of the pitch they need to find a third man, it’s to be seen how Bennacer returns. On the right Musah is playing, maybe they need a few more goals… In that role there, with Pulisic moved to the middle, I would expect a shot.”
Parolo’s admission of the Rossoneri’s difficulties with the squad is rather telling, especially considering he believes Juventus’ side is in a better place despite key injuries wrecking their team.
