Panthers play-by-play voice Steve Goldstein hosts annual golf classic to raise money for children
A great day for a great cause was held on Monday in Fort Lauderdale.
It was the 23rd Annual Goldie’s Gang Golf Classic at the Coral Ridge Country Club.
Longtime Florida Panthers play-by-play voice Steve Goldstein has been hosting the event, through his charity Goldie’s Gang, for decades.

Monday’s event brought dozens of attendees together with former Panthers like Bill Lindsay and Peter Worrell, former executives like Mike Santos, and even Miami Marlins legend Jeff Conine was there to take a few swings.
“It’s great when the community comes together to help kids and families in South Florida,” Goldstein said.
Goldie’s Gang has been around since 1999.
Its mission is to “help South Florida’s kids by granting funds to individuals, organizations, teams, leagues, and educational initiatives. The motivation behind Goldie’s Gang is giving kids special experiences that will stay with them for a lifetime.”
Through his charity, Goldsten has helped countless children in South Florida participate in programs like Learn to Skate and Learn to Play, which are run by the Panthers and help bring the game of hockey to South Florida’s youth.
“There is a focus on keeping kids playing hockey and helping parents financially to pay for that,” Goldstein said. “It’s humbling so many companies and people support the cause of keeping kids active and playing sports.”
