Panathinaikos and Olympiacos reach agreement with Marseille for Azzedine Ounahi

According to a report by Foot Mercato, Panathinaikos FC and Olympiacos FC have both reached an agreement with Olympique de Marseille for Azzedine Ounahi (24) to sign the Moroccan international on loan. The French outlet notes that it will be up to the player to decide which of the two rivals he will decide to join.

Ounahi has been one of the players that Marseille have placed in the “loft” this summer alongside the likes of Jordan Veretout (31) and Chancel Mbemba (30). There have been reports across the transfer window linking Ounahi with an exit. Ounahi was a target for teams in Saudi Arabia, and more recently was linked with a move to Qatari club Al Sadd

Ounahi had been used in the preseason for Marseille but it was clear with the additions of Ismaël Koné (22) and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (29), as well as the return of club captain Valentin Rongier (29) that the Moroccan midfielder’s time at the club was going to be limited if he did not find an exit.
