The Everett Silvertips are enjoying a standout season, currently holding first place in the Western Hockey League and recently ending a seven-game winning streak. Dupont was selected first overall by the Silvertips in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft. The 5'11", 179 lb defenseman is only the second player in WHL history to be granted exceptional status to play Major Junior hockey as a 15-year-old, following Connor Bedard. Hailing from Calgary, AB, and the son of NHL alum Micki Dupont, he kicked off his season by being named WHL Rookie of the Week in early October and has already amassed 11 points (4G-7A).

In the first night of the challenge, Canada Red secured a 3-1 victory over Finland, with goals from Alex McLean (Guelph), Jaxon Jacobson (Brandon), and Chad Lygitsakos (Shawinigan), while goalie Colin Ellsworth (Guelph) made 14 saves.

Canada Red faces the US Team Monday at 7:30PM EST. To view rosters and this week's schedule, click here or check out our WHL team site.
