Pablo Torre joining Meadowlark Media, will still contribute to ESPN

Pablo Torre is not completely leaving ESPN. But the prominent host and contributor has added another gig to his resumé.

Meadowlark Media, the content company founded by ex-ESPN boss John Skipper and former host Dan LeBatard, announced Torre will join the company and have his own show. Since 2021, Meadowlark has been a part of DraftKings' content arm.

Torre will remain a regular contributor to ESPN's marquee studio programming, namely "Around The Horn" and "Pardon the Interruption," according to Variety.

At Meadowlark, where he will begin April 1, Torre told Variety he will be charged with building another show on top of "The Dan LeBatard Show." His show, he told Variety, will permit him to “tell original stories, do a bit of journalism and figure out how to make that show a home that can fit all of the things I aspire to do creatively.” Torre, whose official title will be host and executive producer, also has an equity stake in Meadowlark.

For the last three years, Torre has been the primary host of the "ESPN Daily" podcast. Torre's appearances on the podcast have become infrequent in recent weeks.

Torre spent the first five years of his sports media career at Sports Illustrated before joining ESPN in 2012. He was a senior writer for the magazine and website and also had an on-air presence, culminating in a daily show alongside Bomani Jones, "High Noon," on top of his work on "Around The Horn" and "PTI."

Media members working for multiple outlets is uncommon but has become more prevalent recently. Kirk Herbstreit, for example, is still ESPN's top college football analyst and a member of "College GameDay" while also being the color commentator for Amazon Prime Video's "Thursday Night Football."
