P.J. Forgione Commits To Vermont
Saginaw Spirit defenseman P.J. Forgione has committed to Vermont, it was announced late last week.
Forgione, a product of Burlington, Vt., is in his final season of OHL eligibility, having collected two goals and 11 assists for 13 points in 37 regular season games.
Drafted by the Spirit in the sixth round of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, Forgione has spent parts of four seasons with the team, putting up 20 goals and 66 points in 198 career regular season games.
Before making the jump to the OHL, Forgione played his 16U year with the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies.
As Forgione gets set to return to his home state for school, he will have the opportunity to earn a role with the team out of the gates. Capable of contributing at both ends of the ice, Forgione should be a good addition for the Catamounts.
