P.E.I. teen named biggest Hab fan

The Montreal Canadiens have named a Prince Edward Islander their biggest fan.

Nick Peardon, with the help of his twin brother Nathan, submitted a video to the Canadiens organization in a national contest, showing off their Habs-themed bedroom. There was an online vote, and the final decision was made by a panel of Montreal Canadiens hockey players.

Peardon said winning the contest was a shock.

"It hasn't really sunk in yet," said Peardon.

"The Habs have very passionate fans and to be named, you know, the biggest one, it's definitely an incredible honour. I'm just going to take it all in. We've always been fans of the Habs, win or lose, so you know we're definitely going to stick with it now."

Along with the title of Ultimate Fan, Nick Peardon and his brother Nathan also won tickets to the season opener of the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre, if and when the lockout ends and the season resumes.
