Owen Van Steensel Commits To Clarkson
North Bay Battalion forward Owen Van Steensel has committed to Clarkson, it was announced this past weekend.
Van Steensel, who is serving as captain and in his final season with the Battalion, has collected 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points in 29 games.
Drafted by the Battalion in the fourth round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, Van Steensel has played in 228 career regular season games across parts of four seasons, putting up 74 goals and 171 points.
Heading to the Golden Knights next fall, Van Steensel is a solid add for the team. Mixing leadership and on-ice skill, Van Steensel is responsible at both ends of the ice and will likely be able to seize a solid role with the team in his freshman year.
