Ousmane Dembélé departs PSG training due to illness

Paris Saint Germain confirmed Ousmane Dembélé was deemed unfit to train on Thursday.

Despite arriving for the session, club doctors told the Frenchman to go home and rest as he was suffering from a throat infection.

The news arrives after Dembélé was the centre of attention in Paris when Luis Enrique dropped him for the club’s trip to Arsenal in the Champions League.

Without their star man, who has four goals and four assists in six Ligue 1 games so far, the French giants lost 2-0 in England.

PSG’s medical update suggested Dembélé will return to action on Friday.
