Ottawa Senators Defenceman Thomas Chabot Leaves Practice After Hard Collision With Jacob Bernard-Docker
The Ottawa Senators had hoped the injury bug would go a little easier on them this season. But based on the first week, it's worse than ever.
On Wednesday, Thomas Chabot left practice favouring his left arm after a big collision with Jacob Bernard-Docker.

Chabot went off in discomfort, looking concerned about his wrist or forearm area. He sat on the bench momentarily, talking with trainers and to Bernard-Docker, who was obviously concerned. By the way, that's not the wrist on which Chabot had off-season surgery.
Artem Zub was already absent from practice with an upper-body injury after taking a big headshot on a hard hit in Sunday's game against Los Angeles. So the loss of another top-four defenceman would be less than ideal.
Update: Head coach Travis Green said after practice that Chabot is fine, although his injury updates to the media appear to, on occasion, prioritize strategy over accuracy.
Green also said that Zub will be gone for at least a week with a concussion, Ridly Greig will be out for a week or two with an upper-body injury, and Linus Ullmark, who has a strain of some kind, hasn't been ruled out to play Thursday night. He was absent from Wednesday's practice as well.
The Senators take a 2-1 record into their home game against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night.
