Osasuna in ‘final stretch’ of talks over David García sale
La Liga outfit Osasuna are on the verge of parting ways with a key member of the club’s defensive ranks.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards David García as the player in question.
Stopper García, for his part, is fresh off a solid individual campaign on the books of the aforementioned Osasuna.
All told, the 30-year-old featured from the off in La Liga on 27 occasions, acting as a reliable presence at the heart of the Rojillos backline.
With such performances, though, has come inevitable outside interest.
Recent weeks have seen claims mount in Spain that García has been earmarked a target on the part of more than one club from the Middle East.
And, as alluded to above, early this week, one such outfit have done enough to all but close a deal for the defender.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘David García, barring any surprises, will play for Qatari side Al-Rayyan from next season.’
Al-Rayyan are understood to have tabled an improved offer for García, worth €7.5 million, plus bonuses.
This is very close to meeting Osasuna’s demands of €10 million, with a final agreement being closed between the parties, as a result, considered as all but imminent.
David García se irá a Qatar tras la subida en la oferta del Al-Rayyan.
📌 Osasuna y el club árabe están en la recta final del acuerdo. Los de Pamplona querían alrededor de diez milllones y los cataríes están muy cerca.
