One in one out for Roma in goal: Ryan heads towards France
Roma’s back-up goalkeeper Maty Ryan is reportedly heading towards the exit door at the Stadio Olimpico and could end up in Ligue 1 in January, but the Giallorossi are already eyeing his replacement according to reports in France and Italy.
The Australia international is subject of interest from Ligue 1 outfit Lens, who have recently sold Brice Samba to Rennes.

According to reports from l’Equipe, Lens are eyeing a low-cost deal given that Ryan is 32, has not played in Serie A since he signed for Roma, and is out of contract in the summer.
Meanwhile, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Claudio Ranieri’s side are planning a deal with Atalanta to sign Pierluigi Gollini, who is currently out on loan with Genoa, but has not played in the league in 2024-25 so far.
The 29-year-old has spent the last four seasons out on loan, including spells with Tottenham, Fiorentina and Napoli, but has failed to nail down a position as a starter at any of those clubs.
