One man shot to death in Charlotte apartment complex near W.T. Harris Boulevard

A man was shot dead in an apartment complex in northeast Charlotte Monday night, police said.

Officers found a man who was shot several times at MAA Legacy Park Apartments off of Mallard Creek Drive near W.T. Harris Boulevard at about 7:30 p.m., according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department news release.

Paramedics said he died at the apartment complex.

MAA owns 13 properties in Charlotte, including clusters of apartments in Charlotte’s uptown, South End and University City neighborhoods.

Police have not released the name of the victim or identified any suspects.
