One of the Chiefs’ social-media accounts was temporarily restricted on Thursday
Fans who went to the Chiefs’ X account (formerly Twitter) on Thursday night were greeted with an ominous message:
Caution: This account is temporarily restricted
“You’re seeing this warning because there has been some unusual activity from this account,” the note said. “Do you still want to view it?”
Fans were given the option to click “Yes, view profile” and go to the account. Here is how it looked.
The good news is the account wasn’t hacked nor had their been anything nefarious posted on the account. And it was only restricted for a few hours.
So why the warning?
It’s possible the Chiefs’ flurry of posts with player mug shots set off an alarm at X. But those photos were of players from their rookie seasons and how they look now.
It’s kind of fun to see how people have changed, even in a few years. In the case of tight end Travis Kelce, however, he’s entering year 12 with the Chiefs, so that’s a little longer.
Take a look at these fun before and after photos.
Time flies when you're having fun.
