One aspect of Hansi Flick that has really impressed Barcelona – Report
Hansi Flick has made a resounding start to life as an FC Barcelona manager. No one in their wildest dreams would have expected the German coach to make such a perfect impact on the team in such a short span of time.
In five La Liga games so far, Barcelona have a perfect win record, scoring 17 goals and conceding just four. The club is four points clear of both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid and has played entertaining football.
As per Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have been really impressed with how Hansi Flick has gone about his work but there is one particular aspect that has caught their eye. The club has been especially moved by how early he gets to work.
The report explains that there have been days when Flick arrived at Ciutat Esportiva at around six in the morning. He does not return until after six in the evening, showing his dedication and incredible work ethic.
The German coach is a perfectionist who likes to plan everything and have everything in control. He spends hours watching and visualizing videos of Barca Athletic and Juvenil A players, to keep track of their development.
He spends hours giving personal attention to players and individualized reviews. He does not differentiate between first-team superstars and reserve players who are training with the first-team, treating them all one and the same. This is something that he learned from Pep Guardiola during his visit to Manchester City.
There is a reason Barcelona players look so comfortable with Flick, as evidenced by Pedri celebrating his goal against Girona with the manager on the touchline. The German seems to have had a positive impact on the dressing room as a whole.
Flick however is not someone to rest on his laurels. He will know that this is just the start and that there is still a long way to go. It remains to be seen how the German’s team will perform in the coming weeks, both in La Liga and the Champions League.
