Olympic basketball games today: Team USA vs. Belgium highlights Paris Games slate

Eight women's basketball teams will be in action at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday, Aug. 1.

Among those is the United States, who is taking on Belgium after opening the Games with a 102-76 win over Japan in its opening game of Group C play. The U.S. was led by forwards A'ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart, who scored 24 and 22 points, respectively, in the game.

The U.S. is hoping to position itself in a solid spot with a win over Belgium, moving one step closer to qualifying for the win-or-go-home bracket stage. The slate of games also includes Australia vs. Canada, a bout between two teams ranking No. 3 and No. 5, respectively, in the FIBA world rankings.

All times Eastern. Here's the full slate of Olympic basketball games for Thursday, Aug. 1:

  • Japan vs. Germany | 5 a.m. | Peacock (streaming)

  • Australia vs. Canada | 7:30 a.m. | Peacock (streaming)

  • France vs. Nigeria | 11:15 a.m. | Peacock (streaming)

  • Belgium vs. United States | 3 p.m. | USA Network (Fubo), Peacock

  • Belgium vs. United States | 11 p.m. | USA Network (Fubo encore coverage), Peacock

What channel is Olympic basketball on today?

Of Thursday's slate of games, only United States vs. Belgium will air on linear TV. USA Network will broadcast the game at 3 p.m. and show a replay at 11 p.m. ET. The other three matchups will be streaming exclusives. They can be watched on Peacock, NBC's exclusive streaming platform.

Fans hoping to stream the USA-Belgium match can also do so with Fubo, which covers the USA Network and offers a free trial to potential subscribers.
