Olakigbe recalled from Wigan loan
Brentford B forward Michael Olakigbe has been recalled from his loan spell with Sky Bet League One side Wigan Athletic.
Olakigbe joined the Latics ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, following his spell with Peterborough United in the second half of the 2023/24 season.
After picking up an injury during pre-season, he went on to play 13 games for Wigan during the opening half of this term, starting seven games.
The winger also played twice in the FA Cup and three times in the EFL Trophy, where he scored the only goal of his loan spell in a 2-0 win over Carlisle United.
Olakigbe made his Premier League debut for the Bees against Bournemouth last season, making another seven league appearances for Thomas Frank’s side during the campaign.
The 20-year-old signed a long-term deal with the club in November 2023, which runs until at least the summer of 2028.
