The Sooners' quarterback, Dillon Gabriel, was aware of the fact that his former team would put up a strong fight, and his predictions turned out to be true. Despite making significant mistakes, the Sooners fought back, with Gabriel completing 25 out of 38 passes for 253 yards, ultimately helping the team to secure the win.

The Oklahoma Sooners are eager to stay in the College Football Playoff conversation and work towards winning their final Big 12 title. In Week 9, they will be facing the Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas has a record of 5-2, but they recently lost a close match against Oklahoma State in Week 7 with a score of 39-32.

The Week 9 matchup will be featured on Fox's Big Noon Kickoff. This will be the first time the show will be in Lawrence, making for an electric atmosphere for the Jayhawks for their homecoming game at David Booth Memorial Stadium.
