Oilers Reveal Zach Hyman Update, Lineup Against Golden Knights

The status quo remains in effect for the Oilers.

Oilers TV's Tony Brar reports that injured forward Zach Hyman will remain out of the lineup for tonight's game against the Vegas Golden Knights, while Stuart Skinner will man the crease in search of his third consecutive win.

That means the Oilers will ice the same lineup tonight in Vegas as they did for their 4-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. After beating Colorado thanks to much-needed secondary scoring from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Vasily Podkolzin, Kasperi Kapanen, and Brett Kulak, the Oilers are betting on all four continuing their hot streaks tonight in Las Vegas.

Nugent-Hopkins - McDavid - Kapanen
Podkolzin - Draisaitl - Brown
Skinner - Henrique - Janmark
Caggiula - Ryan - Perry
Ekholm - Bouchard
Nurse - Stecher
Kulak - Emberson

They also remain without forward Viktor Arvidsson, who joined the team on their road trip but was deemed unlikely to play.

In net, they'll turn to Stuart Skinner, who's been playing his best hockey of the season over the past two weeks. He's 3-1 in his past four starts with a .915 save percentage, including a 27-save win over Colorado in which he only allowed one goal.

Skinner has historically struggled against the Golden Knights, with a 6-6-1 record and an .884 SV% in 13 combined regular season and playoff matchups. He was in net for the Oilers' last game against Vegas, a 4-2 loss on November 6th in which he allowed two third-period goals to help blow a 2-1 Oilers lead.

He'll face off against Vegas netminder Adin Hill, with whom he's also competing for a spot on Canada's roster for the 4 Nations Face-Off, which will be announced tomorrow. Hill is 5-5 for his career against the Oilers, including a playoff series win in the second round in 2023 when he had a .934 SV% after coming in in relief halfway through the series.

Tonight's game gets underway at 8:00 PM MT.
