Oilers Limit Bruins, Win On Home Ice in Low-Scoring Affair

Saturday has a loaded slate of NHL action with many marquee matchups like the Bruins traveling northwest to take on the Oilers while the Senators face off against the Flames in a high-flying all-Canadian showdown.

It should be a great game and we look to improve on some of our recent hot streaks like our 31-24 record on game total and team unders this season.

Bet: Oilers ML (-180), Bruins Oilers Under 5.5 goals (+110)

The Oilers are favourites but don't count out the red hot Bruins as they've won nine of their last 13 games since making the coaching change to Joe Sacco, which is tied with two other teams for the most wins in the league during that span. Edmonton is coming off an emotional loss to the Panthers on Monday and will look to rebound with a big win at home.

These two teams have split their last eight matchups with each side winning four games a piece. The recent trends lean towards the Bruins as they've won two of their last three meetings with the Oilers. Their matchup history also shows more defensive showdowns rather than offensive outbursts as they totalled under six goals in nine of their last 11 games.

This trend should continue as the Oilers have a 2.30 goals against average over their last ten games and the Bruins possess a 2.69 average since the coaching change. As for a side, it's hard to go against the Oilers as the Bruins have lost two of their last four games by significant margins and Edmonton is due for improvement on their 9-7-1 home record.
