Oilers Goalie Leaves Bruins Game After Massive Collision

BOSTON – Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner was forced to leave the game at 14:35 of the first period after a nasty collision with Bruins’ Nikita Zadorov.

Zadorov had control of the puck, crashed the Edmonton net, and attempted to score when he collided with Skinner in the crease, knocking the goalie to the ice with his mask flying off. Zadorov was given a two-minute penalty for interference. NHL spotters removed Skinner from the game to check for a concussion. Oilers’ Calvin Pickard enter the game and played the remainder of the first period.

The Bruins killed off the Zadorov penalty. Skinner returned to start the second period.
