Oilers Faceoff Against The Pacific's Best

EDMONTON -- The time has come.

The Edmonton Oilers will go toe-to-toe with their Pacific Division rivals, the Vegas Golden Knights, in an afternoon tilt.

The third-place Oilers, with a 17-10-2 record, will attempt to close the gap between them and the first place Golden Knights, who sport a 19-7-3 record.

Both teams take a four-game winning streak into this afternoon's game.

Evan Bouchard was spotted taking warm-ups. That suggests the Oilers will go with the same lineup as they had last game.

Stuart Skinner will be between the pipes after Calvin Pickard won against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night. Skinner has a 10-7-2 record this season to go along with a 2.81 goals against average (GAA) and a .895 save percentage (SV%).

The Oilers will do their best to solve Adin Hill, the Golden Knights netminder. With a 13-4-2 record, he's performed very well for them. His 2.59 GAA and .904 SV% are great numbers for a starting goalie.

This will be the third meeting this year between the two teams. The Oilers lost both games 4-2 and 1-0 scores.

The Oilers vanquished old demons with their victory against the Wild. Oilers fans will have to see if the team can get their first win against their rivals this season.
