La Liga strugglers Valencia have on Monday announced a fresh addition to the club’s defensive ranks.

The player to have put pen to paper on terms with Los Che for the remainder of the campaign? Bournemouth’s Max Aarons.

The name of defender Aarons has of course taken its place front and centre in the media headlines surrounding Valencia over the course of the last week.

This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that the Englishman had been earmarked as a leading winter target on the part of the Mestalla brass.

Following the long-term injury suffered by Thierry Correia, Valencia were forced to seek out reinforcements at right-back, with Aarons having been identified as the ideal profile.

Those of a Los Che persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be delighted to hear of their side landing their man on Monday.

As confirmed in a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms, Aarons has made the move to Mestalla on loan for the remainder of the campaign, Valencia’s 2nd January signing after Umar Sadiq.

The deal also features an option to buy in the summer.
