Official: Spain coach Luis de la Fuente renews until 2028

The Spanish national team have announced some good news on Monday afternoon as they have revealed that their Euro-winning coach Luis de la Fuente has renewed his contract at the national setup.

The new contract will see de la Fuente continue as coach of his national team until after the next European Championships in 2028.

The 63-year-old will also be at the helm in 2026 when the World Cup is being held in the US, Mexico and Canada.

De la Fuente has led his country to some great results during his time in charge, with Spain having an impressive 82% win rate since he took the role in 2022.

An official ceremony will be held this afternoon at 5 pm Spanish time to present the renewal to the public and the press, where we will likely hear more from the man himself.

Spaniards will likely be thrilled that the man who took their nation back to glory will be continuing in the role for years to come.
