The Azzurri have met Germany four times in Milan, winning twice in 1923 and 1940 at San Siro and collecting draws in 2013 and 2016.

The Azzurri played their latest international game at the Stadio Meazza last month, losing 3-1 to France and finishing as runners-up in their group. It’s the only game the Azzurri have lost since last summer’s Euros.

Spalletti was appointed Italy’s coach in September 2023 and has won 11 of 20 games, drawn five, and lost four.

Italy have scored 34 goals and conceded 21 during the Tuscan tactician’s tenure.
