Official | Rennes winger Ibrahim Salah loaned out to Brest
Stade Rennais winger Ibrahim Salah (23) has been loaned out to Brittany Ligue 1 rivals Stade Brestois 29, both clubs have announced. The Moroccan winger, who just turned 23 this Friday, has put pen to paper over a season-long loan move which includes an undisclosed option to buy. Salah signed for Rennes from Gent in a โฌ6m deal. For his debut season in Brittany, Salah mainly featured as a super sub, logging seven goals in one assist in 47 games played in all competitions.

Salahโs arrival in Brest will likely compensate for Jรฉrรฉmy Le Douaronโs expected exit to Serie B side Palermo. Salah will wear the #34 jersey with Eric Royโs Pirates. With Brest, Salah will experience Champions League football with the Brittany side drawn to play Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Brest have lost their first two Ligue 1 games this season. They will host Saint-Etienne this Saturday.
