Official | Rennes sign Bodø/Glimt midfielder Albert Grønbæk
Rennes have officially signed Bodø/Glimt Danish midfielder Albert Grønbæk (23), the Ligue 1 club have confirmed. Albert Grønbæk was one of the most-coveted player in the Norwegian league after leading Bodø/Glimt to the 2023 title, logging nine goals and a further eight assists. In two seasons, Albert Grønbæk scored 30 goals and in all competitions with Bodø/Glimt. Rennes reportedly wrapped up a €12m agreement – with further add-ons – for the transfer of Albert Grønbæk to the Roazhon Park. The former Denmark U21 international is the first signing of Frederic Massara, as the club’s new Sporting director.

Albert Grønbæk is expected to be followed by Leeds defensive midfielder Glen Kamara (28) and Lecce centre-back Marin Pongracic (26) in joining Rennes. Albert Grønbæk has put pen to paper over a five-year deal with Rennes. Les Rouge et Noir required an attacking-minded midfielder after parting ways with Enzo Le Fée (24) and Fabian Rieder (22), who have respectively joined AS Roma and VfB Stuttgart.
