As Real Madrid get set to take on RB Salzburg in the UEFA Champions League in less than a couple of hours, manager Carlo Ancelotti has announced the starting lineup.

There are changes made to the team that started at the weekend against UD Las Palmas in La Liga.

For starters, Vinicius Jr. is back in the team after missing the league game through suspension. He takes his usual position on the left flank, with his compatriot Rodrygo moving to the right. Kylian Mbappe continues as the striker while Brahim Diaz gets dropped.

Meanwhile, as expected, Federico Valverde is lining up as the right-back for Real Madrid today in the absence of Lucas Vazquez (suspended).

Raul Asencio and Antonio Rudiger are the two centre-backs while Ferland Mendy starts as the left-back ahead of Fran Garcia.

Luka Modric, back after missing the last game due to suspension, starts in midfield alongside in-form man Dani Ceballos and Jude Bellingham. Aurelien Tchouameni is fit enough to make the bench having recovered from his muscular discomfort.
